|Andersen stopped 35 of 38 shots in the Maple Leafs' 4-2 loss at Philadelphia on Tuesday.
Analysis: Andersen did his best to keep Toronto in it but couldn't hold up against a third-period barrage in which he allowed two goals on 18 shots. The Dane has still been one of the league's best netminders over the past month, as he's 9-3-1 with a 1.90 goals-against average and a .948 save percentage in his past 13 starts.

|Marleau came through with a goal in the Maple Leafs' 4-2 loss at Philadelphia on Tuesday.
Analysis: The point was the 1,100th of the 38-year-old's career. Though he's cooled off lately with just two points in his last eight games, Marleau is showing he can still get it done with 11 goals and seven assists in 32 contests this season.

|Van Riemsdyk scored his team-leading 15th goal of the season with a power-play tally in Tuesday's loss at Philadelphia.
Analysis: The former Flyer has now scored in three of his last five games and continues to be an asset on the power play, where he's put up six goals and three assists. Van Riemsdyk hasn't been setting up teammates all that often, though, as he's gone eight straight games without an assist and has just seven this season.

|Elliott made 20 saves to win his fourth straight start and help the Flyers to Tuesday's 4-2 victory over Toronto.
Analysis: Up and down all season, Elliott is on quite a roll at the moment. The veteran has yielded two goals or less in each of those wins, compiling a 1.75 goals-against average and a .946 save percentage during the streak.

|Raffl had a three-game goal streak end Tuesday, though he collected an assist in the Flyers' 4-2 win over Toronto.
Analysis: After failing to register a single point through the Flyers' first 21 games, Raffl has turned it around with five goals and three assists over his last nine. He's also a plus-7 during his current point streak.

|Couturier got back on track by contributing a goal and an assist to the Flyers' 4-2 win over Toronto on Tuesday.
Analysis: Though he came with just two assists over his previous five games, Couturier has now matched his career high of 15 goals set in 2014-15, and he's well on his way to shattering another personal best with 30 points through 30 games. It's taken some time, but the 25-year-old appears headed to the breakout season Flyers fans have been hoping for.

|Giroux scored a goal and assisted on the eventual game-winner to help the Flyers to Tuesday's 4-2 victory over Toronto.
Analysis: The Philadelphia captain has now scored in back-to-back games and has two points in three straight. Already one goal short of matching last season's total of 14, Giroux has lit the lamp in four of his past eight contests while racking up 13 points over his last 10.

|An undisclosed injury will keep the veteran defenseman out of action Tuesday.
Analysis: Beyond this point, it's uncertain how much more time Bouwmeester could possibly miss. Reports suggest the injury is a "nagging" one.

|Perry is nursing a lower-body injury and is considered week-to-week, coach Randy Carlyle announced.
Analysis: Perry was injured after his knee collided with Carolina Hurricanes forward Jeff Skinner during the first period of the Ducks' 3-2 win on Monday. The former Hart Trophy winner remained on the ice for several moments before slowly skating to the bench.

Analysis: Hellebuyck bounced back in Winnipeg after allowing nine goals in his previous two games - both on the road. He has a 1.70 GAA in winning his last seven home games and the Jets are home again Thursday against the Blackhawks. This will be his first start against them since allowing three goals on 34 shots in a home loss to them last February.

|The Pittsburgh Penguins activated two-time Stanley Cup winning goaltender Matt Murray from injured reserve, the team announced Tuesday. Goaltender Casey DeSmith was assigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League in a corresponding move.
Analysis: Murray has been sidelined the past five games with a lower-body injury sustained in Pittsburgh's 5-4 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Nov. 27. The 23-year-old exited the contest with 4:21 remaining in the second period after Flyers forward Jakub Voracek crashed into him during a breakaway.
