NFL Recent Player News
|12/9/2018||Isaiah Crowell, NYJ, RB|
|Crowell exited the Jets' Week 14 game at Buffalo with an injured foot.
Analysis: Crowell's status was uncertain coming into the game because of a toe injury.
|12/9/2018||Jordan Reed, Was, TE|
|Reed injured his foot in Washington's Week 14 game against the Giants.
Analysis: Reed is Washington's leading receiver and is one of the league's top-ranked tight ends so this would be a big loss if his injury is serious.
|12/9/2018||LeSean McCoy, Buf, RB|
|McCoy is questionable to return to the Bills' Week 14 game, after hurting his hamstring in the first quarter against the New York Jets.
Analysis: McCoy left after being stopped for no gain from the Jets 6. He had two carries for 1 yard.
|12/8/2018||Rashaad Penny, Sea, RB|
|Penny is questionable for Week 14 against the Vikings due to an ankle injury, according to The Seattle Times.
Analysis: Penny did practice this week, but popped up on the injury report on Saturday. Keep an eye on this situation after Penny had 65 rushing yards and a touchdown last week.
|12/8/2018||Doug Baldwin, Sea, WR|
|Baldwin will be a game-time decision against the Vikings because of a hip injury, according to The Seattle Times.
Analysis: Baldwin has been a major fantasy disappointment this season, but he has two touchdowns in his last three games.
|12/8/2018||Odell Beckham Jr., NYG, WR|
|According to the NFL Network, Beckham is out for Week 14 against the Redskins due to a quad injury.
Analysis: Beckham appeared on the team's injury report Friday with a bruised quadricep and practiced on a limited basis. He was downgraded to out on Saturday. Sterling Shepard probably gets a boost in value with Beckham sidelined.
|12/7/2018||Jack Conklin, Ten, T|
|Conklin is expected to miss a few weeks after injuring his knee in Thursday's game against Jacksonville, according to NFL.com.
Analysis: Conklin won't need surgery, so the injury shouldn't be a season-ender. The 2016 All-Pro right tackle missed Tennessee's first three games recovering from a torn ACL he sustained during last season's playoffs.
|12/7/2018||Bruce Ellington, Det, WR|
|Ellington is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Arizona due to a back injury.
Analysis: Ellington did practice every day this week, so tentatively expect him to be active. He's earned some PPR consideration by recording 19 catches over Detroit's last three games.
|12/7/2018||Vontaze Burfict, Cin, LB|
|Burfict is in concussion protocol and won't play Sunday against the Chargers.
Analysis: Injuries and a suspension have limited Burfict to being active for only six of Cincinnati's 13 games when including Sunday's contest. He's become a hard player in IDP leagues to count on due to the repeated absences.
|12/7/2018||Eddie Jackson, Chi, S|
|Jackson was added to the Bears' injury report after missing Friday's practice with a shin issue. The safety is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams.
Analysis: Bears coach Matt Nagy attributed Jackson's absence to the team practicing on turf, which should ease any concerns. The second-year pro has been a playmaker on the back end for the Bears with four interceptions, the last two of which he returned for touchdowns in Weeks 11 and 12. Jackson also returned a fumble for a touchdown earlier this season.
|12/7/2018||Darron Lee, NYJ, LB|
|Lee has been suspended for the season's final four games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Analysis: Lee ends his third NFL season with 73 tackles and a team-high three interceptions along with five passes defensed in 12 games, all starts. The 2016 first-round pick will likely return to an every-down role in 2019.
|12/7/2018||Josh Doctson, Was, WR|
|Doctson (hip) is active for the Redskins' Week 14 game against the Giants.
Analysis: Doctson was added to the injury report after straining his hip during Friday's practice. The former first-round pick has been one of the Redskins' more dependable receivers, though his fantasy value could take a nosedive with Mark Sanchez forced to start at quarterback.
|12/7/2018||Kelvin Benjamin, KC, WR|
|Benjamin has signed a one-year contract with the Chiefs after being released by the Bills earlier this week.
Analysis: The Chiefs have a need for wide receiver depth with Sammy Watkins (foot) likely out for the rest of the regular season. Benjamin, a major disappointment during his time in Buffalo, still doesn't figure to make a significant impact. The former first-round pick of the Panthers has managed just 23 catches and one touchdown in 12 games this season.
|12/7/2018||Jonnu Smith, Ten, TE|
|Smith injured his knee in Thursday's game against Jacksonville and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
Analysis: Smith became Tennessee's No. 1 tight end after Delanie Walker broke his ankle in the season opener, though he didn't exactly run with the opportunity. The second-year pro ends the season with 20 catches for 258 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games.
|12/7/2018||Robby Anderson, NYJ, WR|
|Anderson (ankle) is active for Sunday's game at Buffalo.
Analysis: Anderson was also questionable for each of the Jets' two previous games but was active for both, though he wasn't much of a factor either time. The wide receiver has been held under 50 yards in five straight games and doesn't have a touchdown over that stretch.
|12/7/2018||Graham Gano, Car, K|
|Gano injured his left knee during Thursday's practice and won't kick for the Panthers on Sunday. Carolina signed Chandler Catanzaro to fill in for this week's game at Cleveland.
Analysis: It's a downgrade for the Panthers, as Catanzaro struggled before being released by the Buccaneers last month. Gano is 14 of 16 on field goal attempts, including three makes from 50 yards or more, though he's missed three of 33 extra-point tries.
|12/6/2018||Joe Mixon, Cin, RB|
|Mixon (foot) practiced fully Friday and has been taken off the injury report ahead of the Bengals' Week 14 game against the Chargers.
Analysis: Mixon shouldn't be at all limited physically for Sunday's contest, though fantasy owners should be concerned about his reduced usage in recent weeks. He's received 15 or less touches in three of Cincinnati's last four games, plus the Bengals have struggled to score points during their current four-game skid.
|12/6/2018||Sterling Shepard, NYG, WR|
|Shepard (ribs) is not on the Giants' final injury report for Sunday's game at Washington.
Analysis: Shepard had his practice reps scaled back during the week but isn't dealing with anything serious. Having failed to surpass 37 receiving yards in any of his last five games, he won't be a recommended fantasy option Sunday.
|12/6/2018||Isaiah Crowell, NYJ, RB|
|Crowell (toe) is active for the Jets' Week 14 game at Buffalo.|
|12/6/2018||Julio Jones, Atl, WR|
|Falcons coach Dan Quinn confirmed Jones (foot) will play Sunday at Green Bay.
Analysis: Jones sat out both Wednesday and Thursday's practices, but the Falcons were just being careful with their star wide receiver. He was on a run of six consecutive 100-yard outings before being held to season lows of two catches and 18 yards by the Ravens last weekend.
